"Every day, Our Mother Mary is said to have visited the places where Jesus suffered and died. It was at these places, or stations, where she would pray and remember the sacrifice of her Son. This was a sacrifice only He could offer, so our sins would be forgiven and we would be able to join Him in Heaven forever. Not everyone was able to actually visit these places, but many did so in their hearts. The tradition of praying at these specific sites in spirit became known as praying the Stations of the Cross". Thank you to the fifth grade class, Kathleen Nguyen and Cyndi Peterson for our beautiful Stations of the Cross on display by our library; and to Cyndi for this beautiful introduction. If you have a moment, please stop by to reflect on and enjoy this wonderful Lenten project.
If you are looking for ways to focus on your Lenten journey, Thursday's Morning of Reflection with Fr. Timone would be helpful. Please see last week's "Christ and Caffeine" flyer for details.
