Principal Mrs. Kathy Dunn“Let Me Be As Christ To You”

Just two days into our new school year and examples of our theme coming to life abound!  My warm welcome from all of you continues, generous offers of assistance in all forms seems to be the norm, students are kind to each other, smiling and helpful around campus.  The list is endless.  We (notice I now include myself) are a Christ-like community.  Celebrate!

Please pay particular attention to the school communications note included in this week’s Wednesday News.  There are some important changes!

Thank you for your patience as I study our end of day pick-up procedure.  I plan to send a notice detailing a few changes very soon.

I know you are all aware of the flu dangers being predicted.  We as a staff have educated ourselves and prepared in every way recommended by leading authorities.  There is a letter included in this week’s Wednesday News outlining some ways you can help.  Some of the other steps we are taking include: Limiting touching by holding arms outstretched while praying the Our Father both at church and Monday Assembly and giving a verbal Kiss of Peace at Mass, encouraging hand washing or hand sanitizer, developing a plan to assist in making work available for students staying home.  We will keep you as up to date as possible.

You may notice a new Discipline Alert form coming home (if not, Yeah!).  Our discipline policy has not changed, just the notice and procedure.  We have a new triplicate form to assist in tracking.  You will be asked to sign and return a form each time one is issued.  This will include tardies.  Please notice the Action/Recommendations section.  It includes a “warning.”  As in the past, for most incidents, it will take 3 warnings for a detention to be assigned.

Please support our revitalized Scrip program!  You will be hearing details from our Scrip coordinator, Christine Denny, but please make sure to register for the grocery-loyalty program.

All are invited to attend the Parent Council Meeting Thursday, Sept 3rd (tomorrow) at 8:00am in the Ministry Center.  Hope to see you there!

Friday, Sept 4th: Please join us for our 1st school liturgy of the year.  Assisting with the Liturgy: Faculty  Student Council Installation following the liturgy.  12:00pm Dismissal

No school Monday, Sept 7th.  Have a safe and relaxing holiday.

Back to School Night Thursday, Sept 10th, 6:00pm in the Parish Hall.  More details next week.

Thank you!  Mrs. Dunn
