“Let Me Be As Christ To You”

Good Day! I can’t help wondering if some of you may have missed our big announcement regarding tuition credit. Did you hear that 25% of the profit from your gift card purchases can be credited toward tuition? Or if you prefer, you may designate your 25% toward tuition assistance for others. Scrip order forms are in today’s envelope and always online!

SJA’s Class of 2010 is having a fund raiser tomorrow at California Pizza Kitchen (CPK). Just take the flyer in today’s Wednesday envelope to the Solana Beach CPK for lunch, dinner, or both and 20% of your check will go to supporting graduation activities. You can dine in or take out!

The flu is here. Though there are no documented cases of H1N1 in our student/staff community, there are many children out sick and several documented cases in our extended community. Families with at risk members who have requested notification are called. All in the community will be notified if we have a documented case in our immediate community. Please continue to use recommended health guidelines.

The 8th grade extends a hearty thanks to all who participated in the Sally Foster sale.  $2,257 was earned for graduation events.  The top seller was second grader Nate Valley who brought in a whopping 24% of total sales.  Nate will receive $100 cash for his outstanding effort.  The second place seller was third grader Blake Boeh.  Blake will receive a $25 iTunes gift card.  The top selling class was second grade.  They will enjoy a pizza party from Pat and Oscars.  Orders will be delivered next Monday Nov. 9.  You can continue to order online at sallyfoster.com all year.  If you enter our school code 63397, SJA will get 50% of the order amount.

Christmas is coming! We are looking for choreography, costume, clean up, organization, set up, decorating and technical support for the Christmas pageant.  If you are interested, please email SJA music teacher Mrs. Oldham at: amoldham@saintjamesacademy.com and let her know your area of interest.

Joanna Costello has sent in 1,018 Box Tops, which calculates out to a check for $101.80...a great effort for just the first 2 months of school! Please keep this going! It just takes a moment to clip these and earn money for the academy and our students.

Also, this will be the last week for anyone to be able to notify Joanna of missing magazine drive prizes.  After this Friday, she will not be able to fulfill prize requests.

Halloween photos shared by Bill Kazmierowicz have been posted on our website gallery page, which is password protected. You will receive a separate email with the user name and password.

Enclosed in today’s envelope is a flyer for Mama’s Kitchen Pies. These were a big hit last year and it is a very worthy cause.
