Commitment to Excellence—Keeping a high standard of excellence is a priority for SJA. The cost of educating each student exceeds tuition each year. The "gap" is filled by fundraising and special gifts. Fundraising is a top priority at Saint James Academy. Donations assist in making up the "gap" of approximately $900 per student.

ANNUAL GALA
Our primary fundraiser, there are many ways to support the Annual Gala. Donate an Item or service, volunteer time working on the event, attend and experience fabulous auction opportunities and one-of-a-kind children's art masterpieces. We need 100% participation to make our Gala a success! (April 2, 2011)

ANNUAL GOLF CLASSIC and DINNER
Monday October 18th to raise money and build SJA community spirit.

ANNUAL GIFT WRAP/COOKIE DOUGH/MAGAZINE DRIVE
A great way to renew yearly magazine subscriptions, stock up on treats and gift wrap while supporting our children. Runs September 9th-23rd. Gift wrap revenue supports the graduation activities.

BOX TOPS for EDUCATION
Clip those little Box Tops for Education off of many of your favorite brands. Turn them into the front office. We receive 10 cents per box top. Turn them in often!

HALLOWEEN CARNIVAL An annual event sponsored by our Student Council. Proceeds donated to various charities including the School of One Heart in Vietnam.

NOTE CARDS (STUDENT ART)
Art by our very own SJA budding artists, note cards can be purchased at various time throughout the year and are wonderful items to treasure!

PIZZA FRIDAYS
A hot lunch option benefiting the Jr. High Retreat.

SCHOLASTIC BOOK ORDERS & BOOK FAIRS
Support your child's reading efforts while building better home, classroom, and school libraries through books purchased at our school book fairs.

SCRIP/ESCRIP
This program costs nothing except some organizational skills in your shopping budget. We sell gift cards for many retailers, restaurants and grocery stores. We buy them at a discount and you purchase them as SJA for face value. We make a percentage of each card sold. For ESCRIP, be sure to register your club cards from Vons and Ralphs so SJA ca receive a percentage of your grocery purchases. Each family is asked to purchase a minimum of $100 in SCRIP this year.

SPELL-A-THON
Held in the spring, each student has a spelling list to master. They collect pledges for each word they spell correctly. This program is a great way to involve friends and grandparents in helping support SJA!

TEACHER'S WISH LIST Make a teacher's wish come true by purchasing an item off the teacher's or Principal's wish list. A great way to choose a specific gift to give and have an immediate impact on the classroom or school.

USED UNIFORMS
Turn in gently used uniforms so we can sell them at our spring and fall sales. Items sell for $5 each so your donations add up

Scrip is a term that means “substitute money”. When you purchase scrip, you’re purchasing negotiable gift certificates and prepaid cards that are used just like cash. You can use scrip to purchase everyday expenses like food, clothing, and other essentials, and with every purchase, you earn revenue for St. James Academy.
